;

Greetings to our writing and photography visual artists who have worked hard to create blogs/websites that offer help to other writers and photographers.

This is the goal of Visual Arts Junction also. We firmly believe that offering this type of help and camaraderie is not a competition. We’re here to meet, not compete. In the arts there is room for everyone, and the more of us participating, the more wealth of art, and knowledge of the arts, we offer the world. We’re all in this together.

Be sure to leave your introduction as a comment below. We’re overjoyed to meet you.

  2. My name is Jhonny Thermidor. I'm an author/Poet. I just published my first collection of love poems entitled The Language Of Love. Poetry is my passion. My passion is what keeps me alive!

  3. My name is Lori E. Mazzola. Thank you for the opportunity to share this opportunity with you! I am a traditionally published author. I am currently writing a Christian series called Tales of the Tree People. Social networking is the key to success! That is why I have created The Artist Tree & Country Kids Magazine! I believe in promoting other struggling artists! No matter what your medium may be…It is a place for you and me!

Thankx so much for your information, Jhonny and Lori.

  5. Tina Dee says:

Hi, I'm Tina Dee (TinaDeeBooks on Twitter & Shoutlife, Tina Dee on Facebook). I'm a pre-published writer of historical romantic comedy. I also enjoy helping other Christian authors and musicians promote their latest releases or share their journeys through interviews on my blog http://TheHomesteadHeart.com . My other blog, http://BustlesAndSpurs.com is a group blog with wonderful Christian authors who write old west/prairie/or frontier stories and promotes that genre, as well as the authors and their books.

I want to connect these authors to other authors to help share knowledge and experience, but I also want to connect readers to authors & their writings.

I have two charitable organizations that I support with promo when I can through social networks, they are http://NoteAbilities.com and Autism Tree Project Foundation. For NoteAbilities, I was one member of a team of writers for their video Kibbles Rockin' Clubhouse – a DVD on social skills for young children, with a particular target for those with autism, but great for any young child.

So, if you are, or know of, a Christian musician, author, or anyone with autism, I'd be happy to help in whatever manner I can with promo'ing their latest project. Their work doesn't have to be a best seller or award-winning, just sincere of heart and honoring God in their project, whether overtly stated or not.

I love writing and I love helping other artists connect with their audience!

  23. Review of explosive spy-thriller, Able Danger, author, Kensington Roth by Barbara Hudson and Carmela Hammle.

"I thoroughly enjoyed the premise. I felt the author was writing in a style similar to Robert Crais and David Baldacci. The author has his own unique style and is obviously on his way to write many more good spy-action novels." by Barbara Hudson.

    "
The book reads as if I was watching the movie. It’s simply incredible to actually envision the car chase in Rome and the love scenes on Berhala Beach was simply spectacular. It’s definitely the new American Bond movie. It’s a must read novel." by Carmela Hammie

Agent Harrison Court-006 a black ops-spy discovers China’s secret attack planned for the U. S. taking him on a new mission across Asia and Europe against time to stop a rogue ex-CIA agent DaSage. Court uncovers China’s deadly super weapon from a known terrorist leader hiding in the caves of Tora Bora. OO6 must find out what American cities the silent gravity weapon will destroy by defeating the phantom of reverse gravity before history is altered forever.

    Excerpt from Chapter 1
From outer space the satellite disengages its laser on this American suburban household, as the TEST of Gravvox’s destructive fire power has concluded. The laser’s disengagement creates a sensitizing, bursting, spherical-shaped flash traveling almost forever in space. The effects of the laser burning out causes a phenomenal, geomagnetic interference with Earth’s ATMOSPHERE.

  24. Hello Everyone,

I'm thrilled coming upon this site. My name is Alberta Sequeira. I'm the published author of my memoirs: A Healing Heart: A Spiritual Renewal (2006), which won the Reviewers Choice Award 2008 for memoirs by Reader Views out of Austin, Texas.

My second memoir is Someone Stop This Merry-Go-Round; An Alcoholic Family in Crisis (2009), which had been nominated January 31, 2010 for the Editor's Choice Award by Allbooks Review out of Canada. It's about losing my husband in 1985 at forty-five years of age to this horrible, worldwide disease.

I'm completing my third memoir and sequel Please, God, Not Two; This Killer Called Alcoholism. It's the continuation of our lives and my daughter following the same path as her father. She died on November 22, 2006 at thirty-nine after three alcoholic rehab stays from the same demon. Hopefully, it will be available to the public by July 2010.

Because of my losses, I've been on a journey doing speaking engagements at halfway homes, alcoholic rehabs, woman's ministries, libraries, radio stations, local cable TV shows, newspapers and any organization or business wanting to hear my story.

My website is http://www.albertasequeira.com, blog: http://albertasequeia.wordpress.com. I'm available on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Published Authors Network and Authors Den. Thanks for the opportunity to introduce myself!

  25. rde says:

Hi, I'm "rd". I am a native Floridian, not that many from my day. I am a self taught watercolorist, with a BFA from the College of Fine Art at the University of Florida (GO GATORS!). I seldom paint any more since I've taken up photography, nature, scenes, wildlife, flowers and have become involved in creating digital 'abstract's'. I have work on FineArtAmerica, redbubble and my primary site: http://rderder.imagekind.com/store

  26. Dana Chabino says:

I am 36 years old and have been painting since childhood. I live in Wichita Ks. Where I was born and raised. I have a true love and passion for creating art.

Guess I would say that I’m shooting for an expressive form & style of the past impressionists. I’m trying to convey a sense of emotion with color and texture within my paintings that will make the viewer say WOW! LOOK at THAT! Regardless if it is a simple study piece or a more fully thought out developed Painting

  28. Alan Miles says:

    Hi Aggie and followers,

I've just finished workshopping a first novel called 'The Lebanese Troubles' with the good folks at The Next Big Writer. It's a story of expats finding themselves in a civil war that splutters around them. As the country disintegrates, relationships flounder, loyalties are tested, certainties evaporate.

My newly-launched blog, A Real Writer (http://www.arealwriter.com) features the first three chapters of the novel. It's also a blow-by-blow account of how I'm marketing the book, starting from the premise that the objective is not to find an agent and a publisher, but steadily to build a reader base.

I've already found Visual Arts Junction full of good marketing ideas, and I particularly like the way you've blurred the lines between different areas of creative activity – I think that's the way it should be as we explore ways to take advantage of all the new publishing media.

    Thank's for being an inspiration.

  29. Aggie Villanueva myaggie2 says:

Carl, so great to "meet" you. Your gallery sounds wonderful. Do you offer wall space for photographers?

Alan, your marketing blow by blow sounds very informative. Thankx for telling us about it. My marketing book, later this year, is similar, as is the A Self-Publishing Journey series I'm writing right now, in that it mirrors my journey. http://www.visualartsjunction.com/?page_id=6016 I believe that that's really all we can offer up for advice, is where we've been ourselves.

Thankx for stopping by, both of you. Hope you come back often.

  30. Mark Reep says:

Hi Aggie- I’m an artist, working mostly these days in charcoal & graphite; my website is http://markreep.net. Works in progress, photos, links to recently published writing etc on my blog: http://markreep.blogspot.com. Updates on fb.
    Thanks, and all best!

    • Hi Mark, it’s great to meet you. Your charcoal & graphites are wondrous. I love the soft fantasy feel to them. Great luck in selling them. They deserve to be hanging in many homes!
